Sustainability in the Fashion Industry Dashboard
In the spirit of the No-Code Day coming up on March 11th, I would like to share what I’ve been working on. The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters of our environment with its linear economy model (take, make, waste). However, this doesn’t need to be the case. More and more companies are adopting the circular economy model (reduce, reuse, recycle), which could drastically reduce the negative effects of the fashion industry on the environment. My dashboard showcases how a few changes can have a big impact.
It was a lot of fun using Squirrel for this project! I used the gradient background add-on in a semi-transparent off-white color over images to create an embedded faded image as the background for some of the pages. I also used the gradient for the navigation bar in different shades of gold. I wanted to make the nav bar sticky, so I placed it outside the container to which I added a scrollbar. This created the sticky nav bar effect I was looking for.
One of the biggest challenges I had was animating the slide-up banners on the home page using the size and position animator add-on. But once the hotspot and the function x & y-axis coordinated, it worked perfectly.
